The Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center is hosting a special exhibit running June 29 through September 1, 2023.

Please join us for the opening reception on, Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at 126 W. Petris Ave., Oakland, FL.

The local art and history exhibition will feature Oakland’s origins in the citrus industry and the Great Vegetable Region. Learn about the Oakland’s original citrus and vegetable farms, the major players in the industry, and contributions to Florida’s agricultural history.

Enjoy the sounds of Banjo Player and Oakland resident, Anthony Dixon, as you learn about Oakland’s historic agricultural roots and view art from local artists. Afterwards, grab a sweet treat from Oakland General Store, the Town’s newest concessionaire, located on the West Orange Trail next to the Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center at The Town of Oakland.
