Congratulations to the 2022-23 yearbook staff on receiving an overall ranking of “All-Florida” from the Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA), placing last year’s yearbook, “All Day, Every Day,” in the top 30 yearbooks in the state of Florida. This is a huge accomplishment as Florida is a highly competitive state with many yearbooks ranking at the national level.
FSPA’s mission is to educate, train, and support scholastic journalism statewide; and it offers a variety of services to assist journalism students and advisers, including an evaluation service for publications and broadcast programs. For yearbook competitions, a panel of three experienced educators/journalists review all publications and establish an overall rank of All-Florida, Gold, Silver, Bronze or Merit. That panel also selects Sunshine Standouts from among the All-Florida winners, which are announced later in the fall.
The MVA Interlachen staff scores ranked All-Florida in the following categories: Concept; Coverage, Content, and Reporting; Writing and Editing; and Layout and Design. They also received Gold rankings in Photography and Visuals and Readership Essentials.
