The Aurelia Cole Academy recently opened in Clermont for students in kindergarten through 8 grades. The school requires uniforms and is establishing an emergency clothes closet and food pantry for its students in need. The students must wear red, navy, black, gray or purple polo shirts with black or gray shorts or long pants.
New Beginnings of Central Florida (NBCF) is dedicated to helping the homeless and less fortunate in South Lake County to revitalize their lives through counseling services, work, and affordable housing.
NBCF has agreed to collect clothes and food for the Academy, as well as gifts for Christmas. It is asking the community to rally around this cause. Canned food and clothes can be dropped off at its thrift store located at 415 Citrus Tower on Monday-Saturday 9 am to 6 pm.
NBCF is also seeking volunteers, donations and community support.
