The Kiwanis Club of Clermont recently unveiled the “Harold Cummings- Clermont Battalion Sea Cadet Corps” scholarship.
(Ret.) Colonel Harold Cummings was not only a career military man but a dedicated and loyal member of this club for 25 years.
During those years, he worked hard toward the betterment of youth education programs, including the Oakley Seaver Memorial Scholarship program.
It seemed appropriate to honor his legacy with a scholarship that is geared towards both youth and a disciplined program such as the Sea Cadets.
It is the club’s hope that Col. Cummings’s memory and hard work live on in the lives of future generations.
The Kiwanis Club of Club meets every Tuesday at 11 am except for the 3rd Tuesday of the month …meeting will be held at 6 pm. All meetings will be held at Green Valley Country Club, 14601 Green Valley Blvd. Clermont.
