Johanna Joseph of Real Life Christian Academy was presented with the Ray Goodgame Outstanding Leader Scholarship by Thom Kieft, 2023 Board Chair of the South Lake Chamber and Lake-Sumter State College VP Facilities Planning and Operations Facilities.
The Ray Goodgame Scholarship honors exceptional students in the South Lake area who serve as champions in the community. Exceptional student leaders earned this prestigious honor through unwavering passion for learning and dedication to helping others.
Johanna Joseph has excelled as an accomplished student, securing a place on the honor roll for four consecutive years. As President of the Student Government, National Honor Society, Key Club, Editor and Chief of the Yearbook, and team manager for the volleyball team, she has led these organizations with finesse and dedication.
Johanna’s volunteer work has extended to the church, where she dedicates her time to sharing her knowledge of the Bible with children. She also tutors elementary and middle school students in a range of subjects, from math and science to history and reading, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Johanna plans to venture into the world of politics after earning a degree in political science, driven by the desire to represent and advocate for those who require a strong voice.
