Thrive Clermont offers Personal Finance 101 this fall for high school students. Thanks to an education grant from the Community Foundation of South Lake, students will have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the finances of car ownership. Personal Finance 101 – Personal Finance: Car Buying Workshop
In this interactive workshop, teens will gain a greater understanding of key financial concepts. Our volunteer professionals from SeaCoast Bank, CarMax, and State Farm Insurance will cover:
- Elements of a personal budget
- What is a credit score and why it is important
- Factors affecting car insurance rates
- Car financing basics
