Thanks to an education grant from the Community Foundation of South Lake, students will have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the finances of car ownership. Personal Finance 101 – Personal Finance: Car Buying Workshop

An interactive workshop for students to gain knowledge on personal Budgeting, Credit Scores, Car Insurance, and the finances of buying a car.
 

In this interactive workshop, teens will gain a greater understanding of key financial concepts. Our volunteer professionals from SeaCoast Bank, CarMax, and State Farm Insurance will cover:

  • Elements of a personal budget
  • What is a credit score and why it is important
  • Factors affecting car insurance rates
  • Car financing basics
