Howdy Partners!

The boarding students at Montverde Academy strapped on their boots and put on their best hat to head over to our watering hole (aka the Dining Hall) to enjoy a cowboy-sized meal together. Afterward, we all gathered in Lindor Hall to enjoy some games, such as donuts on a string, horse races, cornhole, bottle flipping, balloon popping, and water pouring challenges. Some students braved the karaoke machine and sang to the crowd. We ended the night with our Theatre Conservatory students teaching us how to line dance.

“Planning our ‘country western’ themed night for the boarders was a lot of fun!” said Mrs. Natasja Eksteen, Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students for Residential Life. “The main goal was having dinner together as a boarding family and then playing various games to bond and get to know each other better. To see the boarders relax, laugh, and dance was heartwarming. Some even learned a new skill. Great fun was had by all!”
