Submitted by Grace Rabano and The Clermont Garden Club
Members of the Clermont Garden Club, led by Helen Ribbe, beautified the grounds at Minneola Place, an assisted living facility on S.Main St. in Minneola. With a generous cash donation, the Garden Club purchased a variety of plants including pentas, Blue Daze, petunias, marigolds, red hibiscus, and catela guava shrubs. Armed with gloves and garden tools, club members spent a morning planting the flowering landscape to be enjoyed by the 20 residents who live at Minneola Place.
Clermont Garden Club is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization. Members meet every third Wednesday of the month (September through May) at the clubhouse located at 849 West Avenue, Clermont, FL (except during special field trips or luncheons). Meetings begin at 10:00 am, and light refreshments are served. New members and guests are warmly welcomed.
