Lake County Supervisor of Elections, Alan Hays, advises Republican voters of the upcoming March 19th Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) Election. Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Democratic voters should take note that the Democratic Party is not having a 2024 Presidential Preference Primary this year. However, the August 20th Primary Election is for all voters. 

On Election Day, voters must cast their ballot at their assigned polling location. Polling locations may be found through one of the following methods:

1. Voter Information Card
2. Visiting lakevotes.gov
3. Calling the SOE at 352-343-9734 

Voters should be prepared to present a current photo ID with a signature at their polling location. The following are considered acceptable forms of identification: 

Florida Driver License
Veteran Health ID issued by the US Dept. of VA
Florida ID issued by DHSMV
A license to carry a concealed weapon or firearm–
United States Passport issued pursuant to FS 790.06
Debit or Credit Card
Employee ID Card issued by any branch, agency,
Military ID
Department, or entity of the Federal Govt.
Retirement Center ID
State, a county, or municipality
Neighborhood Assoc. ID 

Early Voting (EV) for the PPP began March 7th and continues each day through March 16th. EV locations are open 10:00 am – 6:00 pm with 12 convenient locations to serve voters. 

Registration books are closed for new registrations and party affiliation changes for this election. Voters should also note that Vote-by-Mail ballots must be in the Lake County Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day.
