The Weavers of Orlando Guild will hold their next meeting on July 20, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at the Leesburg Center for the Arts, located at 429 West Magnolia Street, Leesburg, FL 34748.

This month’s program will feature kumihimo, the traditional Japanese art of braiding, using a takadai. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe and learn this intricate craft. The meeting will begin with a social hour, followed by a brief business meeting and a “show and tell” session where members can share their latest projects. The highlight of the meeting will be the kumihimo demonstration.

The Weavers of Orlando Guild warmly invites guests to join and meet local weavers, spinners, and fiber artists. It’s an excellent opportunity for those interested in fiber arts to connect and learn from experienced artisans.
