Members of the Kiwanis Club of Clermont recently had the opportunity to delve into the world of bed bugs during their evening meeting. The club welcomed Dr. Phil Koehler and Dr. Tae Lee, professors from the University of Florida – Gainesville, to share their expertise on this fascinating yet unsettling topic.
The presentation was a blend of informative insights and engaging content, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of bed bugs. Dr. Koehler and Dr. Lee covered various aspects of bed bug biology, behavior, and control methods, making the session both educational and entertaining. Despite the somewhat creepy subject matter, the professors managed to keep the audience captivated and even amused.
As the presentation concluded, the Kiwanis Club expressed their gratitude to the educators. Joan Kyle, a club member, presented Dr. Koehler and Dr. Lee with a plant as a token of appreciation. Additionally, Chuck Seaver, the club’s president, presented them with a letter of appreciation and a specialty drinking cup, further acknowledging their valuable contribution to the meeting.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of South Lake attended the meeting to hear about bed bugs and to thank the Kiwanis Club of Clermont for sponsoring a hole sign at the Kiwanis of South Lake’s annual Celebrity Golf Tournament.
