News From the South Lake Chamber of Commerce

With mixed gratitude and excitement, the South Lake Chamber of Commerce announces the departure of Nate Edmund, our esteemed Marketing & Programs Director. Nate has decided to pursue new opportunities and will be joining the Orlando Economic Partnership as the Director of Programs. His last day with the Chamber will be Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Nate’s journey with the Chamber began in September 2021 and has been marked by transformative achievements. His leadership and expertise have significantly enhanced the quality and reach of our annual, monthly, and weekly events, making them more engaging and impactful for our members and the community.

One of Nate’s notable contributions has been enhancing our social media presence. By facilitating paid advertisements and improving engagement, he has helped the Chamber connect with a broader audience and fostered stronger relationships within our community.

Additionally, Nate has been instrumental in launching the Chamber’s new website in June 2024, a crucial development enabling us to serve our members better and provide a more user-friendly experience. Nate’s dedication to modernizing the Chamber’s operations has also led to significant strides in making the Chamber more paperless.

He introduced digital ballots for our Best of South Lake awards, digital tickets for Taste of South Lake and the Business Expo, and a digital voting experience for attendees. Furthermore, he implemented digital programs for our Monthly Chamber Breakfast and redesigned the Chamber’s weekly newsletter, enhancing its readability and engagement.

With his graphic design and web development background, Nate has brought a creative and technical edge to the Chamber, ensuring that our communications and online presence are visually appealing and highly functional. While we are sad to see Nate leave, we are incredibly grateful for the growth and progress he has brought to the Chamber during his tenure. His dedication, innovative ideas, and hard work have left an unforgettable mark on our organization, and we are confident that the foundations he has built will continue to benefit the Chamber for years to come.

We are thrilled to announce that Brianna “Bri” McLees has been appointed as our new Marketing & Programs Director. Bri started with the Chamber as the Office Manager in January 2024 and has consistently proven herself to be a quick learner, making her the ideal candidate for this role. We are confident that Bri will infuse her unique perspective and energy into our programs and initiatives, driving them to new heights.

We wish Nate all the best in his future endeavors at the Orlando Economic Partnership and look forward to his continued success. At the same time, we welcome Bri to her new role and are excited about the future under her leadership.
