The City of Clermont is scheduled to commence a sanding operation on the bricked areas of the Street Scape 3 project starting early Monday, August 12. This process involves adding sand that will settle into the spaces between each brick, ensuring a solid and stable surface for the streets.

The operation is expected to be completed within 2 to 3 days. The work will begin at the intersection of W. Montrose Street and Lake Avenue, progressing through the area in small sections, approximately 1-2 blocks at a time.

To accommodate the sanding work, very short detours will be necessary, and signage will be placed to direct traffic around the affected areas. Residents and commuters are advised to be cautious and follow the posted directions to ensure safety.

As with all outdoor projects, the schedule may be impacted by weather conditions. The City of Clermont will provide updates if there are any significant changes to the timeline.
