Staybridge Suites Coming to Clermont

Clermont is set to welcome a new wave of hotel developments, offering visitors and extended-stay travelers an array of comfortable and convenient lodging options. Among the notable projects currently underway is the construction of the Staybridge Suites by IHG, located at 3440 US Hwy 27, just west of the Hammock Ridge Road and US-27 intersection. This upcoming addition will provide a total of 72,000 square feet of floor space spread across four stories on a 2.50-acre site. The hotel will feature 100 rooms designed specifically to meet the needs of extended-stay guests. With a variety of studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites available, each room will be outfitted with a kitchen, separate living space, and a dedicated work area, ensuring that guests have all the comforts of home during their stay. Additional amenities, such as free Wi-Fi, fitness centers, free laundry facilities, and a pet-friendly policy, make this an ideal choice for both short-term and long-term visitors. This development closely mirrors the size and scale of the nearby Hampton Inn Suites, further enhancing the accommodation options in Clermont.

However, Staybridge Suites is just one of several new hotels on the horizon. Also in the works is a new Marriott TownePlace Suites, which will be situated on a 4.07-acre site approximately three-quarters of a mile east of U.S. 27 at Omar Street and Hwy 50. This planned four-story hotel will feature 112 rooms and offer guests a range of amenities, including a pool and an outdoor tiki bar area, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the development will include a 294-seat sit-down restaurant, catering to both hotel guests and local residents. To accommodate this new construction, an existing law office on the site will be demolished.

Adding to Clermont’s expanding hospitality landscape, Clermont West Investments is seeking city approval to construct two more hotels on a site accessible from an existing driveway on Hooks Street. This location, which currently serves Ford of Clermont, will also have access from the existing SR 50 entrance and the Sandy Grove access point to the east. These hotels, potentially rising to five stories tall, will significantly bolster the area’s lodging capacity.

As Clermont continues to grow, these new hotels will offer more choices for travelers and locals alike, ensuring that the city remains a top destination for those seeking both short-term and extended-stay accommodations. With easy access to local restaurants, businesses, medical services, hospitals, and Lake Sumter State College, Clermont’s expanding hospitality offerings are set to meet the needs of its ever-increasing visitor base.
