About the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet

Since 1990, the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet has been delighting audiences across Florida with their dynamic performances at concerts, jazz clubs, private events, and jazz festivals, including the New Smyrna Jazz Festival, Images Festival, and Avalon Park Jazz Fest. The quintet’s repertoire spans jazz standards, Latin jazz, fusion, and Dixieland, tailored to captivate each unique audience.

The quintet is composed of seasoned professional musicians who also perform at Orlando’s theme parks. The group’s leader, Andrea Rowlison, is a trailblazing trombonist and vocalist. She holds the distinction of being the first female trombonist to perform with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, the Harry James Orchestra, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Andrea has also graced the stage at Lincoln Center with Sam Rivers and appeared on the Today Show with the Universal Studios Band.

The quintet’s guitarist is a jazz guitar professor at the University of Central Florida, and their multi-Grammy Award-winning bassist has been a longtime musician for Disney. The drummer, who also serves as the music director for Holy Family Catholic Church, performs alongside his wife, Danielle, who is the cantor and vocalist for the group.

Over the years, members of the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet have shared the stage with legendary artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Ray Charles, Tito Puente, and many others.
