On Saturday, September 7, the Kiwanis Club of Clermont hosted a heartwarming fundraising event titled “Let’s Taco Bout Two Great Causes”, held at the Green Valley Country Club (14601 Green Valley Blvd., Clermont). 
 

Chuck Seaver, president of the Kiwanis Club said, “We thank the community and our sponsors for the wonderful support of the “Nacho Taco Fundraiser” held today in support of The Neighborhood Center of South Lake and  Hands of Hope America 

Trish Kry, the Executive Director of The Neighborhood Center of South Lake (NCSL) described the crucial role TNCSL plays in the community, offering a wide range of services aimed at supporting individuals and families facing homelessness or financial hardship. TNC is located in Groveland at 147727 Timber Village Road. 

Evelisse Bookout, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hands of Hope America was at the event to explain the importance of helping individuals and families overcome life’s challenges by providing essential food assistance, educational programs, and resources that promote self-sufficiency and the tools to build a brighter future. Hands of Hope America is located at 16605 Sunrise Lake Blvd. #3, Clermont.  

The “Let’s Taco Bout Two Great Causes” event was more than just a fundraiser; it was a celebration of community spirit and generosity. Attendees enjoyed delicious tacos, door prizes, and raffles, all while contributing to causes that make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.
