Grace Rabano
Publicity Lead for Clermont Garden Club
The Clermont Garden Club is off to an exciting running start this year! The first official meeting in September 2024 welcomed back old and new members, plus guests. Attendees participated in a get-your-hands-dirty activity by creating their own herb container garden. Also this month, a field trip was held at Waterwell Farms in Groveland, FL to tour the aquaponic facility and see how plants and fish can create a harmonious growing environment.
The 2024-2025 program year will be filled with more presentations, activities, field trips and Fun-With-Flowers workshops. Fun-With-Flowers events can be attended via reservation by club members and the public (for a fee). Look for advertised upcoming Fun-With-Flowers events which may include making floral shadow boxes, Holiday floral arrangements/centerpiece, your own kokedama, and more!
Don’t miss Saturday, November 9th when the Garden Club will hold its annual Plant Sale on the clubhouse grounds. The Plant Sale is a much loved community event where the public can purchase home-grown or member-propagated plants at reasonable prices.
Clermont Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Members meet monthly (September through May) at the clubhouse located at 849 West Avenue, Clermont, FL. Light refreshments are served. New members and guests are warmly welcome.
The clubhouse at 849 West Avenue, Clermont is also available for rentals (for church gatherings, scout meetings, showers, birthday parties, etc.). See www.clermontgardenclub.org.
