The Clermont Woman’s Club hosted its annual Fashion Show and Luncheon at Gabby’s Banquet and Event Facility in Clermont on Saturday, November 2nd.
The event, themed “Let’s Be Thankful,” featured fashions by Accessories and More of Sarasota and included dozens of beautiful raffle baskets provided by area businesses and organizations. Silent auction items on display added to the large boutique of clothing and accessories that were available for purchase. A premiere of twenty-nine ensembles was modeled by club members that displayed an array of clothing and accessories ranging from light fall fashion to beautiful winter attire fit for any adult age range.
Pam Schmitz, master of ceremonies, applauded this year’s event and thanked the many volunteers and donors who made the show a huge success. “ The numbers are not all in yet, but preliminary figures reveal that we did well in our fundraising efforts,” says Pam.
The annual fashion show is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Clermont Woman’s Club with proceeds going, but not limited to, graduating high school seniors at South Lake High School, East Ridge High School, and Lake Minneola High School. The club also provides two annual scholarships for graduates who plan to attend Lake Technical College.
The 17+ year show is created and orchestrated by the club of 60+ members who have an obvious flair for not only community commitment but the welfare of the youth who are moving on to the next phase of their lives.
