Grace Rabano, Publicity Lead for Clermont Garden Club

Clermont Garden Club Yard of The Month for November finds us in the neighborhood of The Reserve at Lost Lake (off of Citrus Tower Blvd) to the home of Kimon and Carrie Delagarza at 2313 Golden Astor Street. This well looked after yard boasts an array of succulents (Aloe) and cacti (Cactaceae). A water feature made from Florida Field Stone adjoins the front of the house. Here ferns can be found sprouting from the stone. A large staghorn fern hangs from the branches of an oak tree. Several Plumeria (Apocynaceae)
can be found around the house which Kimon propagates himself. Other spectacular species to be seen are the Canary Island Spurge (Euphornia canariensis), a long leaf cactus (Hylocereus Undatus), Prickly Pear, Desert Rose, a variegated Dwarf umbrella tree, a Madagascar Palm (Pactrypodium), Crown of Thorns (Euphorbia Miliii).
A beautiful, attractive eye-catching garden if ever there was one to behold.
