Today is Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and supporting the small businesses that make our community unique. Held annually on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, this event encourages everyone to “Shop Small” and keep their holiday spending local.
Small businesses are the backbone of our community. When you shop at a local store or dine at a neighborhood café, you’re not just buying a product or service — you’re investing in your community. Every dollar spent at a small business helps create jobs, support local families, and strengthen the local economy.
This year, tackle your holiday shopping list with gifts purchased from local businesses. Whether it’s a handmade ornament, a gift card to a favorite restaurant, or a unique piece of art, you’ll find treasures that are as special as the people you’re shopping for.
For a list of local small businesses in the area, click on The South Lake Tablet’s Business Directory. It’s a great resource to discover shops, services, and restaurants right here in Clermont, Groveland, Mascotte, Minneola, and Montverde. (If you don’t see your business in the directory, please contact Michael or Bill at 352-241-8900.)
Put your dollars to work for your community this holiday season. Shop small, support local, and make a big impact on Small Business Saturday!
