Lake County, Florida—The 2025 Adopt-a-Lake Calendar, which showcases Lake County’s beautiful water bodies, are now available for residents to purchase by a requested donation of $6. The Adopt–a–Lake Program is similar, in some respects, to the County’s Adopt-a-Roadway Program. The program encourages local civic organizations, individuals, and business groups to adopt a segment of a lake’s shoreline.

Nearly 250 photos of Lake County water bodies were entered in the photo contest this year, and a committee narrowed the photos down to 37 semi-finalists, and the public voted on those photos on the Adopt-a-Lake webpage.

Over 2,300 votes were submitted to select the top 14 finalist photographs featured in the 2025 calendar. The photos from the runner-ups are included in a special section at the back of the calendar. This year’s calendar had a top-scoring photograph of Lake Dora submitted by Christopher Sherman, which is featured on the calendar’s front cover.
