Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies proudly welcomed its first baby of the New Year at 8:23 pm on Jan. 1, 2025. Baby girl Emery came into the world weighing 4 lbs., 12.5 oz. and measured 17.3″ long. Baby Emery is the daughter of Ryan and Jennifer Wilson.
In honor of this special occasion, the Central Florida Diaper Bank is donating a year’s worth of diapers (roughly 3,600) to the family. The organization advocates for and encourages healthy growth, nutrition and development for children from newborn to age three. By identifying families’ needs and providing the appropriate resources, the organization aims to promote self-sufficiency.
“We are honored to welcome the first baby of the year with this special donation,” said Sharon Lyles, executive director of the Central Florida Diaper Bank. “These diapers represent more than just meeting a family’s immediate needs—they symbolize hope, care, and a commitment to giving every baby the strong start they deserve.”
