Mark your calendars for an opportunity to make a difference in South Lake County! Groveland and Mascotte will host a Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, January 25, from 9 am to 12 pm. The event will take place at two convenient locations:

  • Groveland Festival Park (117 North Main Ave, Groveland)
  • Mascotte City Hall (100 East Myers Blvd, Mascotte)

This community-driven initiative invites volunteers to help clean up the area, making it a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful place to live.

Volunteer Information

Volunteers are essential to the success of this event. Whether you’re an individual, family, or part of a community group, your participation will have a positive impact.

  • Supplies Provided: Trash grabbers, safety vests, trash bags, gloves, and water will be available.
  • Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 18 or older or accompanied by an adult.
  • How to Register: Sign up online at www.keeplakebeautiful.com/#events.

Additional Services

In addition to the litter pickup, attendees can take advantage of several free services:

Bulk Drop-Off and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Unit

Bring your unwanted bulky items and household hazardous waste to the designated drop-off locations. These services are free for Lake County residents and provide a convenient way to tidy up your home and yard.

The HHW Mobile Unit will accept items such as:

  • Paint
  • Fuel
  • Household chemicals and cleaners
  • Motor oil and more

Tire Amnesty Event

Dispose of your old tires responsibly to reduce mosquito breeding grounds and improve the community’s appearance. Residents can drop off up to 24 non-commercial tires (less than 40 inches) per household free of charge. Rims must be removed prior to drop-off.

Tires can also be dropped off at:

  • Lake County Landfill (13130 County Landfill Rd., Tavares)

Make a Difference

This is your chance to give back to your community and enjoy a rewarding morning with friends and neighbors. Together, we can create a cleaner and greener Groveland and Mascotte.
