The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is reminding residents that Spring Break is an excellent opportunity to schedule the whole family to get passports. The office will extend its passport processing hours at its North Lake and South Lake branch offices during Lake County Schools’ Spring Break, March 10-14.
“This is a great opportunity for those unable to visit our office during our regular operating hours to apply for their passport,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “We’re hoping that by offering appointments for an additional 90 minutes daily throughout the week, customers will be able to get passports for themselves and their children.”
The extended passport processing hours will be from 8:30 am to 6 pm and are by appointment only at the North Lake Branch Office, 902 Avenida Central, The Villages, and the South Lake Branch Office, 290 Citrus Tower Blvd., Suite 116, Clermont.
As a U.S. Department of State (DOS) acceptance facility, the Lake County Clerk’s Office assists residents with reviewing and submitting U.S. passport applications sent to the DOS for processing.
To schedule an appointment, visit https://lakecoclerk.as.me/schedule.php. After booking an appointment, customers will receive an email confirmation with additional information and instructions on documentation to bring with them. Passport photos will also be available on-site for a small fee.
