After receiving approval from 80% of voters in the Nov. 5, 2024, election, Lake County is developing the Public Lands and Trails Acquisition Advisory Committee. This committee will help preserve and protect the County’s natural areas and water resources.
This committee aims to help the County safeguard natural spaces and safely approach land conservation.
 
The committee is looking for applicants with experience in geology, biology, local history, recreation, the development of recreational trails and trail systems, and Lake County geography and natural assets.

Completed applications must be submitted by March 10, 2025. Applications can be emailed to angela.harrold@lakecountyfl.gov or submitted via mail (P.O. Box 7800, Tavares).
