Minneola Project Updates:

The City of Minneola council recently went through the status and tentative timelines on open projects to get some clarity on what to expect and when.  Below are highlights.

Minneola Library Rendering
  • The new Minneola library is tentatively set to open in September 2025. Funding for this project received a substantial boost through three library impact fee grants, amounting to an impressive $1,000,000. This financial support is earmarked specifically for the construction and renovation of the new Minneola Library, located at the former site of the old city hall and public works buildings. The total estimated project cost, including furnishings, equipment, and books, is projected at $1,600,000. To bridge the remaining financial gap, the city committed to covering the difference through cash allocations.
The Minneola Fire Department breaks ground for its new Fire Station
  • Fire Station 1:  A walk-through was recently done and bay doors still need to be installed, along with other items that need to be adjusted and repaired.  Estimated Completion: End of April.
  • Fire Station 2 – Completion Late 2028
  • Grassy Lake and Education School expansion – Completed by summer 2026.

Two major projects hit significant milestones on their way to transforming the local landscape. Both AdventHealth Minneola Campus and Crooked Can Brewery are on track to open late 2025, promising to bring new energy and opportunities to the community.

The Minneola City Council Members requested to receive an update on planned projects at upcoming council meetings.
