During the gathering, Mayor Murry covered a wide range of topics, focusing on the dynamic growth happening across Clermont. He provided detailed updates about Wellness Way, a series of new housing developments, and an exciting list of new businesses coming to the city, including two new hotels, Bonefish Grill,  White Castle, Sprouts, Krispy Kreme, the relocation of Dick’s Sporting Goods, and more. The mayor also touched on the development of new storage unit facilities.

Among the most anticipated updates was the expansion of a new Clermont plaza nestled between BJ’s and Walmart on Hwy 27. The new plaza houses several new businesses, including Florida Blue, Honey Baked Ham, Josie’s Pizza & Wings, Swig’s, Pokemoto, Optum Rheumatology, Broken Egg Café, Magruder Laser Vision, Kid’s Dentistry, Oxygen Yoga & Fitness, and Brooklyn Water Bagel. These exciting additions highlight Clermont’s ongoing development as a hub for businesses and services.

Mayor Murry also touched on several infrastructure improvements underway in the city and county, including updates about roads, highways, and the Clermont Fire Department. These efforts aim to ensure that the city’s growth continues to be well-supported and sustainable. Additionally, he took the time to address questions regarding the Clermont Boat House, Clermont Waterfront, and some exciting new art murals planned to beautify the area.

A topic of great interest among attendees was the future of the Clermont Performing Arts Center, which has recently been the subject of rumors. Mayor Murry assured residents that the center’s future stability remains a priority, though he acknowledged questions surrounding its direction. He also answered questions about the potential new City Manager, Clermont City taxes, impact fees, and the City Budget.

As always, Mayor Murry emphasized the importance of community involvement in local governance. He encouraged everyone to attend the twice-monthly Clermont City Council Meetings, an excellent opportunity for residents to hear updates and share their opinions on ongoing and future city projects. These meetings will now be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:00 pm and the fourth Tuesday at 5:30 pm in the City Hall Chambers.
