Pam Schmitz, Clermont Woman’s Club
The Clermont Woman’s Club hosted Georgia Skyers, MSN, RN from The Haven of Lake and Sumter Counties. The Haven was established in 1977 to meet the needs of domestic violence victims. In the 30+ years of existence, it has expanded its base of services and today provides comprehensive, unduplicated services to victims of domestic violence and sexual violence.
The Clermont Woman’s Club was chartered in 1927. It is a non-profit organization that meets on the first Tuesday of each month (September through May) at 12:30 pm at their clubhouse, 655 W. Broome Street, Clermont. For information, see http://www.clermontwomansclub.org.
