It is a year since we visited the beautiful garden of dedicated gardeners Arlene and Bruce Clements at 14728 Green Valley Blvd, Green Valley Country Club and it is still a most spectacular sight!
Yellow Angel trumpet bushes to the left of the yard. Their boughs are lowering with the weight of flowers in abundance. Pavers take you around the yard to the back bordered by a variety of plants including Taro (family Araceae), a Loquat tree (family Rosaceae), a banana tree (family Musaceae), on the ground several bromeliads neatly planted along with Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina) and to the left a Seagrape tree (Cocolloba uviferaree). To the back of the yard are ferns, palm trees, a beautiful species of Canna with dark red leaves and scarlet blooms, and a ground covering of Purple Heart Spiderwort (family Commelinaceae). A beautiful specimen of a Garden Croton peeks through the foliage of neighboring plants, Seashell Devil’s backbone (Euphoria tithymalcides) and an unusual bamboo with black stems. Along from these is a magnificent Travelers Tree, Philodendron. There are so many plants to list…this yard is well deserving to be the Clermont Garden Club’s Yard of the Month for March 2025.
