From the Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter

Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter will kick off its annual Women Build event with the Women Build Kick-Off Party at The Brick & Barrel Public House (Leesburg, FL) on Thursday, March 20th, 2025 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

Join us as we celebrate the launch of Women Build 2025, and learn how you can be a part of building a home and uplifting the community with Habitat Lake-Sumter. Hear from a variety of speakers who will be sharing about how access to affordable housing solutions has impacted their lives and communities, including: Habitat Lake-Sumter CEO Danielle Stroud, past Habitat Home Owners, and this year’s presenting sponsor – AgeWave Solutions, Inc.

This spring, Women Build participants will advocate, fundraise, and volunteer to provide access to affordable housing solutions for those who need it most. This year, Women Build participants will be raising the walls for a new triplex in Habitat Lake-Sumter’s first 55+ community, the Cottages at Heritage Grove.

Registration for our 7th annual Women Build is now open! Those interested in helping create real affordable housing change for families across Lake and Sumter counties can register online at www.habitatls.org/women-build-2025 or contact Hannah at 352-630-8585 to learn more.

Members of the press are welcome to attend the Kick-Off party. Habitat staff members and representatives from this year’s presenting sponsor, AgeWave Solutions, will be on-site to answer questions about this year’s event.
