One of South Lake’s most respected honors, the South Lake Chamber’s Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has displayed exceptional dedication to the community. Lance Sewell, last year’s recipient and President of Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, had the honor of announcing the 2025 award winner: Kalena Meyers of Montverde Academy. Meyers was recognized for her tireless efforts in improving the lives of the less fortunate and her unwavering commitment to community service.

Oakley Seaver Special Service Award – Lake-Sumter State College
