Presented by the Clermont Garden Club

The Clermont Garden Club’s Garden Walk is an ongoing tradition where club members and the public get to tour and enjoy beautiful private residential gardens in and around Clermont. The select gardens are chosen from the club’s Yard-of-The-Month nominations. The last Garden Walk in 2023 featured unique gardens: “Mind-blowing…, ” said a past guest. “Each garden was unique. One backyard was xeriscaped. There was not a blade of grass in that yard, thus reducing the need for precious water to irrigate during the hot months. Another yard featured a pool that had been converted into a koi pond with water lilies. Yet another yard was designed to encourage homeowners to grow their own organic vegetables and fruit trees”. Come and join us this year to see what horticultural surprises await!

The first Garden Walk was held in 2001 and the tradition continues. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The tour begins at the Clermont Garden Center located at 849 West Avenue in Historic Downtown Clermont. There, program information and directions to the private home gardens will be provided. Advance tickets are $20.00, and tickets sold the day of the Walk are $25.00. If you want to purchase tickets in advance, visit www.clermontgardenclub.org

The Garden Walk is the Club’s main fundraiser for the year, and proceeds go to garden club charities. The Clermont Garden Club sponsors several students each year to attend Wekiva Youth Camp and SEEK (Save the Earth’s Environment through Knowledge). Wekiva Youth Camp is a residential nature camp for kids, to instill a love, respect and knowledge of nature, conservation and the protection of our environment. SEEK, a 4-day conference for high schoolers from all over Florida, promotes student leadership and educates about climate change, water quality, and loss of wildlife habitat due to deforestation and development. The Club also donates to ECHO (Education Concerns for Hunger Organization, headquartered in Florida). ECHO is a global organization that teaches citizens in countries ravaged by hunger how to create/sustain a seed bank and a water supply, and obtain knowledge about horticulture to help feed their families. ECHO has workers and resources in more than 165 countries.

The Clermont Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Clermont Garden Club members meet monthly (September through May) at the clubhouse located at 849 West Avenue, Clermont, FL. The clubhouse and grounds (patio, gazebo) are available for rentals for church gatherings, scout meetings, showers, birthday parties, etc. See www.clermontgardenclub.org.
