The 16th Annual Bras for the Cause and Boxers Too lit up the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center on April 5 with a vibrant, island-inspired evening themed “Tropic Like It’s Hot.” Guests embraced the festive atmosphere, donning tropical attire alongside community models who took to the runway in creatively designed island-themed bras and boxers.

Presented by the Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation (GCCF), the event featured a high-energy runway show and live auction showcasing 14 dazzling, custom-designed ensembles modeled by local community members and business leaders. Each piece was a unique artistic creation, reflecting both creativity and community spirit.

GCCF’s mission is to provide financial assistance, support, and comfort to individuals fighting cancer who reside in South Lake County and the surrounding areas. The foundation is proud to be 100% volunteer-staffed and is funded entirely through generous support from local businesses, organizations, individuals, and fundraising events like this one.

It is estimated that the event raised approximately $100,000—a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of the South Lake community. Headlining the list of supporters were this year’s Big Kahuna Sponsors: Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute and the Live Well Foundation of South Lake. Many more vendors, exhibitors, and sponsors contributed to the evening’s success, making it a truly Hot! Hot! Hot! gala.
