Orlando Health launched its own 407 Day, a day of service to honor Orlando Health’s roots and put its mission into action. Orlando Health, alongside local businesses, community members and sports partners, came together to support and strengthen the greater Orlando community.
As part of the program, Orlando Health hosted various onsite and offsite volunteer projects benefitting 25 different community partners. Activities included meal packing and serving, hygiene kit assembly, building with Habitat for Humanity and even farm work.
Nearly 700 team members volunteered throughout the day.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is a cornerstone of Orlando Health’s mission,” said Megan Almasi, senior director, community relations, Orlando Health. “While our team members are volunteering all year long, it was especially meaningful to create one dedicated day when our sites could come together and make a difference in a variety of ways.”
Participation was open to all Orlando Health team members and community partners who share a passion for giving back.
