by Grace Rabano, Publicity Lead for Clermont Garden Club

The Clermont Garden Club held a field trip at a local farm, Green Mountain Bloomery, to learn about flower gardening from the owner, Angie Smith. Angie grows many flowers on her 1.86-acre farm, including snapdragons, zinnias, Queen Anne’s lace, bachelor buttons, straw flower, dianthus, lisianthus, and more. Angie runs the small business and sells her fresh bouquets at The Villages, the Clermont Farmers Market in downtown Clermont on Sundays, and other special events. Club members enjoyed this fun and educational tour!
