Ukulele clubs have grown in size and number since the early 2000s. With popular artists such as Taimane, Jake Shimabukuro, and Israel Kamakawiwoʻole (Iz) inspiring a new generation of players, the ukulele has stepped into the spotlight—not just as a charming instrument, but as a powerful tool for community and creativity.
If you are looking for a fun, laid-back way to make music and connect with others, then join us at Clermont Ukuleles, the only amateur ukulele club in Lake County that is open to the public!
With our motto, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” your hosts, Rob and Robin lead the group with music projected on a big screen so everyone can follow along easily, beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
The club recently moved to the first Tuesday of the month, so the next gathering is May 6th, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
Founded in 2015 by the Cooper Memorial Library, we are sponsored by the Friends of the Library. This program welcomes everyone from teens to seniors! Bring yourself, your uke, your voice, and maybe a friend or two. No ukulele? No problem! You can borrow one at the library front counter with your library card.
If you want to receive a monthly email reminder with the song list, contact us at Clermontukuleles@gmail.com .
