Clermont resident Paula Hoisington proudly announced the names of four talented students who particiipated in the Juneteenth Essay and Art event, themed “What Juneteenth Means to Me”. The Fantastic Four were recognized for their thoughtful reflections and creative expressions on the significance of that historic day at the City Council meeting held on June 24.
Two of the students provided inspiring artwork which will be displayed at Clermont City Hall for two weeks. The other two students expressed their works in essays, read during the council meeting. All four pieces celebrate Juneteenth through the eyes of youth.
