by Lieutenant Torry Terry, FCCD Chapter 27
The FCCD Chapter 27 is once again stepping up to support the community with his 3rd Annual Backpack and Food Drive, set to take place on Friday, July 26, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at East Ridge High School in Clermont.
This impactful event is designed to help families prepare for the new school year by offering vital resources to those in need. More than 300 families will receive food assistance, and over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to local students.
In addition to the backpack and food giveaways, the event will offer over 100 free back-to-school physicals to ensure students are ready for the classroom. Boys and girls will also have the chance to get free haircuts and hairstyling, helping them head into the school year with confidence.
FCCD’s dedication to service continues to make a positive difference in the lives of South Lake families. As the new school year approaches, this event brings hope, relief, and encouragement to many in the community.
Residents are encouraged to spread the word and attend or support this meaningful initiative.
