The City of Minneola held a Road Naming Ceremony to honor the life, service, and sacrifice of Master Deputy Bradley Michael Link. Held at Minneola City Hall on Saturday, August 2, the event marked exactly one year since Deputy Link tragically lost his life in the line of duty. In his memory, a portion of U.S. Highway 27 will now be officially known as the Master Deputy Bradley Michael Link Memorial Highway.

As a symbol of remembrance, commemorative copies of the new highway sign were presented to Deputy Link’s wife, Brittney Link, and his parents, Dan and Christy Link.

A Lake Minneola High School graduate, Master Deputy Link began his journey with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as a young Explorer. After serving in the U.S. Army Reserves, he joined the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in 2017. In 2019, he returned home to serve Lake County.

Deputy Link, 28, gave his life while responding to a disturbance call in rural Eustis, a tragic incident in which two other deputies were also injured.

In recognition of his service, the road naming stands as a lasting tribute to Master Deputy Link’s legacy — a visible reminder of his unwavering dedication to public safety and the well-being of others. His memory will continue to inspire future generations to lead lives marked by courage, compassion, and community service.
