Ax-Caliber Clermont has announced that it will officially close on Monday, August 4.

Located at 524 West Avenue in Clermont, Ax-Caliber first opened in November 2024. In a heartfelt message, the owners expressed deep sadness over the closure, citing financial difficulties stemming from the loss of their original location in Downtown Lakeland. According to the announcement, recent road closures and a Publix restructuring project in Lakeland led to the shutdown of that primary site, placing a significant strain on the company’s overall operations.

Despite the challenges, the team at Ax-Caliber expressed gratitude to the Clermont community for their overwhelming support during the business’s short time in town. “We truly believed this location would become a cornerstone of downtown, and we’re heartbroken it has to end so soon,” the statement read. “Please know this was completely out of our control.”

Ax-Caliber concluded their message with sincere thanks: “Thank you, Clermont. You made this short time unforgettable.”

For those looking to enjoy one last visit, the venue will be open through August 4.
