Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s annual Charity Day event, held on Friday, September 19th, brought the community together to support a great cause. Thanks to the generosity of customers and community members, the Tidal Wave Auto Spa at 2395 E Hwy 50 raised $1,574.48 for The Neighborhood Center of South Lake, a 501c3 nonprofit committed to ending hunger in South Lake County.

“The Neighborhood Center of South Lake is deeply grateful for this new partnership. Every $1 received through this generous gift allows us to provide $9 worth of food—equivalent to nearly 6,000 pounds of nutritious groceries—helping local families who are struggling to meet their basic needs. At The Neighborhood Center of South Lake, we believe that No One Should Go Hungry. Our dedicated staff, board, and volunteers work together to provide nutritious food and connect families with the resources they need to become self-sufficient. Many of the families we serve work full time, yet still face challenges making ends meet. No-one is immune to hardship, and we are here to offer support and uplift our neighbors during difficult times.”  – Trish Kry, CEO of The Neighborhood Center of South Lake

On Charity Day, each Tidal Wave location selects a local organization that will receive 50% of wash proceeds, plus all cash donations collected during the one-day event. The other 50% of wash proceeds are donated to Tidal Wave’s corporate philanthropic partner, Annandale Village.

“We are grateful to everyone that came out to Tidal Wave to support our Charity Day event,” said CEO and founder Scott Blackstock. “We’re proud to make a difference for these incredible organizations during Charity Day and raise funds that help them to continue the important and impactful work they are doing within our communities.”

Tidal Wave had 295 participating locations this year, making it the company’s largest Charity Day event yet. In the event’s seventeen-year history, Tidal Wave’s Charity Day has raised over $2.8 million to support nonprofits across the country.
