The City of Tavares Cemetery & Arboretum will serve as the setting for this year’s Veterans Day ceremony honoring those who have served our nation.
The event is presented by the Friends of Golden Triangle History and Union Congregational Church, whose partnership will make the ceremony a meaningful part of the city’s 145th anniversary celebration.

The ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 1 pm. at the Tavares Cemetery & Arboretum, 2055 Dead River Road, Tavares. The program will include the placement of wreaths, a patriotic presentation at the American Legion kiosk, and floral displays featuring the blue plumbago — the official flower of the City of Tavares.
