City of Groveland

Groveland residents are encouraged to take part in shaping the city’s future at the third and final public workshop to review the City of Groveland’s Comprehensive Plan. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 19, from 10 am to noon, at the Puryear Building, 243 S. Lake Avenue, Groveland.

This collaborative workshop brings together the Groveland City Council, Planning and Zoning Board, Community Redevelopment Board, Recreation Advisory Committee, and Strategic Plan Committee to review and discuss key elements of the city’s long-term vision.

The Comprehensive Plan serves as a 20-year roadmap that guides where new neighborhoods are built, how roads and parks are designed, and how best to protect Groveland’s natural resources. Every seven years, Florida law requires cities and counties to reexamine and update their plans to ensure they reflect current needs, growth patterns, and community priorities.

Public input is a vital part of this process. Residents’ feedback helps city leaders make informed decisions about growth, infrastructure, and quality of life.

All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
