Cemex recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Four Corners Sand Facility, located at 16231 Schofield Road in Clermont. Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The event brought together elected officials, community leaders, Cemex executives, and facility operators to mark the launch of an operation expected to play a key role in Central Florida’s continued growth. The Four Corners Sand Facility is designed to strengthen the region’s construction materials supply chain and support major infrastructure and development projects across Central Florida.
In addition to improving access to essential construction-grade sand, the new facility brings jobs and economic activity to the South Lake community.
Following the ceremony, guided tours gave attendees an inside look at the site’s operational capabilities and demonstrated how the facility will help meet the construction demands of the area’s expanding population.
