The South Lake Chamber’s November breakfast welcomed members to a morning of community updates, local business highlights, and exciting economic development news.

AdventHealth- Minneola Update
Keynote speaker Kay Barnett of AdventHealth delivered an impressive briefing on the construction progress of AdventHealth’s new, state-of-the-art hospital in Minneola. The new facility will encompass 200,000 square feet and include: 80 beds, 24 emergency department suites, 5 operating rooms, 2 catheterization labs, 2 endoscopy suites, 490 new team members, World–class clinical services.
The hospital is located at 1800 N. Hancock Rd. in Minneola, with a grand opening coming soon.

Hills City Center – Minneola’s Next Major Development
Minneola Mayor Pat Kelley introduced Tara Tedrow and Kevin Skorman of the Hills City Center development. Tedrow shared updates on the upcoming 96-acre mixed-use destination, which will feature: 600,000 sq. ft. of retail, dining, and entertainment. 500,000 sq. ft. of cutting-edge medical office space.
Hills City Center is designed to bring together convenience, health services, and recreational enjoyment in one dynamic location.

Chamber Spotlight Businesses – Clermont Jewelers
Local business owners Wayne and Dalida Diyaljee, owners of Clermont Jewelers, were highlighted during the breakfast. Their family-owned, full-service jewelry store—located at 1670 East Hwy 50, Suite D in Clermont (352-989-4955)—represents a proud tradition of craftsmanship spanning over 80 years and three generations.

Sommer Sports – Founder Fred Sommer spoke on the organization’s 42 years of hosting athletic endurance and recreational events. Sommer Sports is headquartered at 1271 Commons Court in Clermont (352-394-1320).
