The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will host its annual State of the County presentation at 9 am on Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the County Commission Chambers at the Lake County Administration Building (315 W. Main St., Tavares).
 
The public is invited to attend. The State of the County presentation will be followed by the regularly scheduled County Commission meeting (after a brief intermission). This year’s State of the County is entitled “United in Service. Inspired by Purpose.” It highlights some of Lake County’s 2025 accomplishments in areas such as public safety, infrastructure, and tourism.
 
“I’m very proud of the Lake County government’s accomplishments over the past year in service to our residents,” said Chairman Leslie Campione. “From protecting rural lands and improving the water quality of our lakes and rivers to enhancing countywide emergency medical response and fire and rescue resources, the Board and its partners continue to strengthen and expand our mission of protecting and enhancing our quality of life in Lake County.”
