The City of Groveland prepared for and hosted a joyful weekend of holiday festivities, welcoming residents and visitors to come together in celebration of community, tradition, and Christmas cheer.

The holiday spirit began on Friday, December 12, with the Christmas Second Friday Block Party and Tree Lighting at Lake David Park. The evening featured family-friendly entertainment and seasonal activities, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages. Santa Claus joined the celebration, delighting children as they shared their Christmas wishes and posed for memorable photos.

At 7:00 p.m., the official lighting of the Christmas tree illuminated Lake David Park, symbolizing the ceremonial start of the holiday season in Groveland. Guests enjoyed music, twinkling lights, and the warm ambiance of a community united in celebration.

Festivities continued on Saturday, December 13, with Groveland’s 34th Annual Christmas Parade. This year’s theme, “Christmas Around the World & Peace on Earth,” came to life through colorful floats, marching bands, community groups, and festive performances, delighting spectators lining the parade route.
