The Blessed Sacrament Council of Catholic Club tipped its hat to the season with a stylish fashion show and luncheon, Hats Off to Spring, held on January 31, 2026. While record-low temperatures reminded everyone that winter was still firmly in charge outside the Wesley Center, stepping inside felt like an early taste of spring. Warm smiles, lively conversation, and a buzz of anticipation filled the the sold-out event.

Guests enjoyed the chance to shop the latest fashions, accessories, and cosmetics from Dillard’s, while also trying their luck at beautifully decorated raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, a gift-card wreath, and an enticing silent auction.
Behind the scenes, months of planning brought the event to life. Club President Linda Lauletta, fashion show co-chairs Diane Owen and Loretta Terrana, and a dedicated committee—Connie Brewer, Tillie Granucci, Sandy Malsberger, Diane McCue, Mary Ellen Pollock, Barbara Wessels, and others—worked tirelessly to plan details, create decorations, and assemble charming table favors. The result was a smoothly run, picture-perfect event made possible by a true team effort. Committee member Tillie Granucci shared that while she loved the planning and creativity involved, she was also happy to finally relax and enjoy the success of the day.

The runway featured a delightful mix of models (male and female), including Ava Burnbaum, Rose Drazenovich, Tina Gass, Kathy Halpin, Rey Hernandez, Delaney Lockey, Sandy Malsberger, Kaitlin Menner, Linda Ortiz, Lis Ortiz, Nancy Pittman, Mary Ellen Pollock, and model coordinator Cindy Burnbaum. With models ranging from youth to seniors, the show offered something for everyone—proving that great style has no age limit.
As the afternoon wrapped up, the cold weather still lingered outside, but no one seemed eager to leave the cozy warmth of the Wesley Center—or the joyful spirit of a day filled with fashion, friendship, and a hopeful nod to spring.
