Julia Flohr Larkin, Lake Minneola High School
The Lake Minneola High School Water Polo team is halfway through their season and both the boys and girls are off to a strong start! Both teams are 5-2 with the girls winning 4 of their 5 games by double digits. This team is only in their second season and their teamwork, camaraderie and drive to win is unmatched.
Coached by Rachel Carnevale, this team is based out of Lake Minneola High School but serves as a Lake County team. They currently have representation from East Ridge High School, South Lake High School, Pinecrest Lakes Prep and Lake Minneola High School. The team has doubled in size since its inaugural season last year with many of the athletes improving their game in the off season with club water polo or another sport.
This team will continue to play with pride and win as they work towards District play the week of April 6th. Go Hawks!
