East Ridge High School will partner with The Bridge Theatre to present the powerful stage production Anne and Emmettin the school’s auditorium on Wednesday, April 16, at 7:00 pm.
Written by Janet Langhart Cohen, the thought-provoking play imagines a conversation between Anne Frank and Emmett Till—two young people whose lives were tragically cut short by hatred and intolerance. Through their fictional meeting, the production explores themes of prejudice, injustice, and the enduring hope for understanding and change.
The performance will feature adult actors and is intended to spark reflection and conversation about historical and contemporary issues. Because of its subject matter, the production contains mature content, including references to violence, racism, and religious persecution.
This special engagement will be a one-night-only performance, offering the community a unique opportunity to experience the moving theatrical work.
Tickets will be available beginning tonight at 5:00 pm through TeachTix.
Tickets can be purchased online at: https://teachtix.com/thebridgetheatre/anne-emmett
The Community members are encouraged to attend this meaningful evening of theater and dialogue.
